Dr. Josh Whetstone D.C.

Dr. Josh Whetstone, DC

Born and raised locally in Green Lane, PA, Dr. Josh has been passionate about empowering others throughout his career.  Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Josh served as an AmeriCorps member and site coordinator at a social service center in Philadelphia, instructor for a job readiness program, and data specialist for an organization dedicated to helping individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism.  He currently spends two days a week providing direct support for these same people.

It was this continued call to service and his own experiences as a patient at Chiropractic & Acupuncture Wellness Center that inspired Dr. Josh to pursue a career in chiropractic.  He believes every patient deserves the best care, including methods of managing one’s condition at home in order to minimize reliance on frequent office visits for relief.  During his time at National University of Health Sciences, Dr. Josh served as a teaching assistant and tutor for the school’s anatomy lab, as well as a research assistant.  He performed his clinical internship at the NUHS Whole Health Center, a multi-disciplinary clinic where he evaluated and treated individuals from all walks of life, and graduated in his class with honors.  In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Josh serves as a peer reviewer for Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapy.

In his spare time he enjoys yoga, rock climbing, reading, playing music, and hiking with his wife Ria and dog Eevee.

Home Care: End-Range Loading (McKenzie Method)

End-range loading is a treatment which puts you in the driver’s seat!  Take back your health and learn to manage your condition at home, work, or play.  After an initial assessment, the doctor will determine a single stretch/exercise which is most effective for your condition with the goal that you can reduce the need for frequent appointments and get back to doing what you love most.  Dr. Josh has received formal training in McKenzie Method Parts A & B (low back, mid-back and neck) and has experience treating many other areas.
